Dine with a Doc to feature doctor of pharmacy

TERRE HAUTE —

Lisa Hettich Barnhart, doctor of pharmacy, will be the featured speaker at Senior Education Ministries Inc.’s Dine with a Doc from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Wabash Senior Activity Center at 300 S. Fifth St.

Dine with a Doc is a free community education program that welcomes the senior public to hear an educational topic while enjoying a complimentary lunch.

Barnhart is currently a medication management specialist with the University of Arizona’s Medication Management Center. Her primary responsibility is to provide medication management product development and account management support for the center and its clients.

The center provides medication therapy management support to more than 2.5 million Medicare members on behalf of its healthcare partners.

Before joining the Medication Management Center, Barnhart was the director of pharmacy at Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle. Before the hospital, she was a clinical pharmacist for WellPoint Inc., with responsibilities for Medicare Part D programs, including its Medication Therapy Management program.

Her pharmacy roles have provided her with opportunities in product development, product management, pharmacy and therapeutics involvement, and clinical and financial analyses. Prior to joining WellPoint, she owned her own medication therapy management company which provided senior pharmaceutical consultation services.

Barnhart is a graduate of Purdue University (pharmacy degree) as well as Indiana State University (molecular biology degree).

A question/answer period will follow her discussion.

Lunch will be provided by Sycamore Manor Senior Living in Terre Haute.

Seating is limited and reservations are required. RSVP to the senior center at 812-232-2345.
