RESTAURANT INSPECTIONS: Sept. 3, 2012

TERRE HAUTE — The Vigo County Health Department inspected the following food establishments from Aug. 13-17.

Little Caesars, 2520 Wabash Ave. (3 Critical, 6 Non-Critical) Observed plastic containers from previous day soaking in mop sink; front handwash sink found dirty; plastic container used for holding clean utensils found with accumulated debris.

Denny’s Restaurant #138, 233 S. Third St. (2 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) Observed employees not washing and switching gloves between handling raw food items and ready to eat food items; shredded cheese, mac and cheese, sautéed peppers and onions, sausage and diced ham found at 50-70 degrees — should be 41 degrees or less.

Jiffy Mini Mart #609, 1140 N. Fruitridge Ave. (2 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) No handwashing sink provided in kitchen; observed flies in kitchen.

Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, 3718 S. U.S. 41 (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Ice machines in bar and kitchen and soda fountain nozzles in wait stations found with accumulated black debris.

Vigo County Jail - Canteen Services, 201 Cherry St. (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Observed black debris on ice machine chutes and debris on table mounted can opener.

Charlie’s, Inc, 1608 Crawford St. (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Observed black debris on soda nozzles in wait station and debris on bar soda nozzle.  

7th Street Café, 693 Eighth Ave. (1 Critical) Chicken salad, turkey and ham lunch meat in open top cooler found at 56-57 degrees — should be 41 degrees or less (discarded).
