  In high school baseball little things mean a lot, and the crack in the door doesn’t have to be open very wide.
  Terre Haute North burst through that crack in the bottom of the second inning Wednesday evening at Terre Haute South, scoring seven two-out runs and going on to a surprisingly easy 12-2 victory over the host Braves.

McDonald’s — 3032 Wabash Ave. (3 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Canadian bacon found at 71 degrees in cooler — should be 41 degrees or less; employee drink with no lid over wrapped sandwiches; pickles found in handwash sink.

Cackleberries Restaurant — 303 S. Seventh St. (2 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) In grill area found cooked sausage links and patties at 83 degrees — should be 135 degrees or above; no sanitizer measured in dishwasher.

Kroger #911 — 2140 Fort Harrison (2 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Soda nozzles at self-serve drink area found with debris, donut trays, bread trays, and muffin trays found with food debris; breading in deli found at room temperature (discarded).

  I always liked Granola bars. Also Granola, to eat by handful. Pat Coolley always keeps granola on hand to nibble on. I don’t like raisins so I use dried cherries or cranberries instead. Instead of brown sugar use Splenda or your choice. I also use sugar-free syrup. So my husband, Gene, can eat these bars, too. This recipe comes from Rose Hill Community Church.

  INDIANAPOLIS — Food items that were distributed in Indiana are being voluntarily recalled by Rich Products Corp., following a multi-state outbreak of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli 0121(E. coli). Two cases have been reported in Indiana.
