Send recipes for National Road Cookbook

Special to the Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — With 824 miles to cover, there are still many restaurants, bed and breakfasts, food-related businesses, and private individuals to consider for Volume II of the Historic National Road Yard Sale Cookbook.

Send as many recipes as you wish. Keep in mind that it’s important to have recipes represent a specific state and region of a particular state. A history of the recipe also accentuates the cookbook.

Recipes from restaurants that are now out of business should be included.  People have an affinity for eateries of the past. Also, old time recipes are  fun. Consider scouring vintage church cookbooks and almanacs. Any brownie recipes, or derivations thereof (think butterscotch brownies, congo bars), are sought.

Send the recipes by April 1 to info@oldstorefrontantiques.com; or mail recipes to: Ms. Patricia McDaniel, POB 357, Dublin IN, 47335. Call (765) 478-4809.
