TERRE HAUTE —
We are getting busy with outside work, cleaning yards and planting our gardens, picking berries and also hunting mushrooms. I can’t go out anymore. But I hope you all have found a bunch. This recipe is an easy one to fix. Get your slow cookers out and have a great meal when you are tired. Everyone will think you are full of energy.
When I am so busy I like to use my slow cooker. I make almost anything in this. I can’t count the number I have worn out. My sister gave me one, so now I have two. Make a main dish in one, and you can make a dessert also.
Crock Pot Stew
2 pounds stew meat
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 tablespoon vinegar
1⁄2 cup water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• Stir liquid ingredients into the cream of mushroom and onion soup mix until smooth.
• Add stew meat.
• Let this cook on low for 5 to 8 hours.•n Serve over cooked rice or wide noodles.
