Flashpoint: If better informed, liberals would know they are wrong

For many of the all-too-verbal liberal pundits, I must ask, “Why are you all so angry?”

All the letters I read from Kerry Tomasi, et al, are laced with vitriol and disparaging comments about conservative viewpoints, even making unkind comments about those views. That’s certainly not the way to win friends and influence people — through name-calling, hate-based letters, and one-sided and slanted opinions.

However, I ask you to simply read any articles written by any of the liberal lefters and you’ll discern for yourselves that they have no use for views other than their own. How can you get a fair overview of any situation without considering both sides of any argument? And how can you expect anyone to listen seriously, when you’ve already put them down, right up front?

Oh, they’ll tell you they “consider both sides” and promptly toss anything that smacks of conservatism aside as ignorant or uninformed. That begs the question of who, exactly, is uninformed here.

Having been a longtime Democrat, I cannot bear to see what’s happening to our country now, being manned by a narcissistic, no-experience leader who is in WAY over his head, and wants to rob me of my freedoms in favor of his own wishes and demands. (The true sign of a narcissist.) If you’re true to your potential knowledge, you know that fact is also true — that a narcissist always knows what’s best for everyone but themselves.

Therefore, I’m proud to say that, having weighed both sides of the political coin, I’m much more conservative in my views and hopes for this country, than liberal. In fact, I’m downright frightened.

I’ve spent so much time listening to and reading, not only Fox News, but CNN, MSNBC, CBS, and NBC, trying to reach a conclusion for our betterment, that I’m forced to admit that if you refuse to watch Fox News, you’re never going to get both sides of any issue. They always have Democrat experts on their shows to present spirited discussions on every topic. You cannot just brush them off as a conservative loonies station, if you truly watch/listen. Oh, I guess you could, if you remain an angry liberal, but if you want to be an educated liberal, you can’t.

Do you honestly believe that you’re going to be better off five years from now than you currently are? Do you honestly believe you’re going to retain all the freedoms you now have? Do you honestly believe that more of your tax dollars are not going to go to pay for all these narcissist-based bailouts and programs? (For, after all, HE has all the answers for us. Narcissists just know that they know the right path to follow — for everyone). Do you honestly believe that we need a national health-care program to cover every single human in this country, legal or illegal, especially at the expense of the best health-care system in the world?

For those two individuals who wrote recently about the wonderful care they received while in England, I must ask you to explain why millions of their citizens and lawmakers are screaming at us and telling us it’s far and away the worst thing we could do? How do you rationalize that away, pray tell us?

I can relate a personal horrid experience while in Canada, where my husband was left lying in the hallway on a hard gurney for 13 hours following a severe stroke (and robbed of almost $1,000 cash while lying there), and then refused treatment because they wouldn’t accept his U.S. insurance OR credit cards — cash only, which someone had conveniently “lifted” from him, so they kicked him out — no treatment, no compassion.

We can only thank God that our son was there to drive him back to Indiana in bad physical health and condition — back to an extended hospital stay where he received the usual competent care we’re accustomed to here. You really want to give all that up? I can’t imagine how or why.

I was always taught, “Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. That’s the path we’re on right now.

I can only pray that the “deliverance” you liberal thinkers are wishing for doesn’t leave you in a chasm you can’t crawl out of. But don’t hold your breath, because there may be no oxygen or doctors to get you breathing again.

No problem for our president or congressmen — they have exceptional health-care benefits they’ve never paid (nor ever WILL pay) a dime for, compliments of the largesse of the American taxpayer, through no fault of ours. They voted it in for themselves, of course.

Throughout all this, I ask only that you weigh all the facts and stop being so hateful. You call those of us who actually think, morons or ignorant. Typical name-calling anger, and I, for one, am tired of it.

I enjoy reading everyone’s opinions and am thankful for the opportunity to write and express all thoughts, but I despise hatred and anger — and for misspoken and egocentric statements which run rampant through the editorial pages, all too frequently, in my opinion. There must be a subliminal anger running through you that you need to address — but do it quickly, before your rights to express yourselves are reduced to nothing.
