Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame induction banquet Sunday

TERRE HAUTE — The Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame Inc. will honor 18 Wabash Valley musicians at its 20th annual banquet and induction ceremony set for noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in Lawton-Byrum Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972 at 12th and Mulberry streets. A jam session featuring the 2013 inductees will follow the ceremony.

This year’s inductees include Doug Butrum, Rick Chesterfield, Ray Columbo, John Danner, Brad Davis, John Ford, Jimmy Hollingsworth, Gary “Soapy” Hopkins, John E. Jackson, David Joy, Mike Myers, Dan Rockwell, Dave Riley, Jerry Wayne Strain, Jim Thistle, Robert “Buddy” Thomas, Tony Tingley and Clair Woodward.

Tickets are $10 and available at Post 972; Conservatory of Music, behind Honey Creek Mall; The Music Shopp, 1427 S. 25th St.; State Farm Insurance, 400 E. Margaret Ave., Suite A; and from any Musicians Hall of Fame board member.
