Restaurant Inspections: Dec. 5, 2011

TERRE HAUTE — The Vigo County Health Department inspected the following establishments Nov. 14-18:

MCL Cafeteria, 3 Meadows Shopping Center (4 Critical, 6 Non-Critical) Pans of Swiss steak not covered and stacked on top of each other; observed debris on carryout soda fountain nozzles; found buckets of sanitizer water stored on prep tables; meringue pies on buffet table found at 59.1 degrees, salads on display temped at 47 degrees — should be 41 degrees or less.

Rally’s Hamburgers,129 S. Third St. (3 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Handwash sink blocked by rack of bread; no sanitizer measured in 3-bay sink and wiping cloth buckets; observed stack of raw bacon on bread rack.

Jiffy Mini Mart #582,1560 N, 25th St. (3 Non-Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Individually packaged deli sandwiches found at 51 degrees — should be 41 degrees or less (discarded); found WD-40 stored on shelf with single service items, creamer and frozen items waiting to be put in oven, no Certified Food Handler on staff.

Tokyo Inc dba Jade Garden, 3375 S. Third Place (3 Critical) Bugs observed in large bins of flour, cornstarch, rice, etc; raw meats stored over sauces, ginger, etc in walk-in; cooked Lo Mein, fried chicken, won-tons and eggrolls not date marked.

El Camino Real, 1119 N Third St. (1 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) Several spray bottles containing toxic substances not labeled.

First Wok, 2570 Wabash Ave. (1 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Rice cooker and large blender not in use, observed with food debris.

North Vigo High School, 3434 Maple Ave. (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Utensil surface temperature in dishwasher found at 139 degrees — should be at least 160 degrees.

Footers Pizza, 1103 S. 25th St., (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Found sliced bologna and salami in walk in cooler past date of consumption (discarded).

The Light House Mission Ministries, Inc.,1450 Wabash Ave (1 Critical) Raw pork stored over muffins in walk-in cooler.

Subway, 1014 S. Third St. (1 Critical) Grooves in ice machine found with black debris; stainless sheet pans put away dirty.

Sunmart, MDT Corporation, 408 S, Seventh St. (7 Non-Critical)

Texas Roadhouse Holdings LLC, 2941 S. Third St. (4 Non-Critical)

Stuckey Pecan Shop, 9950 S. U.S. 41 (4 Non-Critical)

Cracker Barrel, 429 E. Margaret Drive (2 Non-Critical)

The Verve, 677 Wabash Ave. (1 Non-Critical)

Wendy’s, 229 S. Third St. (1 Non-Critical)
