Valley native pens ‘Voices From the Past’

TERRE HAUTE — Cindy Anderson, an avid lifelong writer who grew up in the Paris, Ill., and attended college in Terre Haute, has recently published a novel, “Voices From the Past.”

The novel was published in December 2008 and is part romance, part mystery and part comedy. It was reviewed by Romantic Times Book Reviews and received four stars out of five. They rated it a “compelling page-turner with something for everyone.”

“Voices From the Past” is available at the Calico Basket gift shop in Paris, Amazon.com, buybooksontheweb.com or toll-free through the publisher: 1-877-289-2665. It also can be ordered through any bookstore. It is under the pen name Lyn Anderson.

In the book, Valerie Chandler finally has a chance to prove herself to her boss. She doesn’t have time in her life for a man, especially if that man is gorgeous Dalton McCoy. She is content with her great friends and challenging job. Dalton is the one man she ever truly loved who broke her heart. She never planned to see him again. Desperate circumstances demand they work side by side for the summer. Too bad he stands between her and a promotion. Their summer turns into a tug-of-war of emotions. She has years of bitter memories and two faithful friends who despise him on her side. And, he has determination, a heart full of love and a match-making ghost on his side.
