Marshall Library continues author series

The Tribune-Star

---- — Marshall Public Library continues its Late Summer Author Series on three more Thursday evenings this summer. Planned are book talks by each author, conversation, and a chance to purchase a signed copy the books.

Next in the series is author Shane Moore of central Illinois, who will appear at the library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

After serving in the Navy, playing semi-pro football, and finally working in law enforcement for several years, Moore retired in 2008 to write full-time. In August 2009, he released book five in his fantasy series, “Abyss Walker,” with the debut appearance of a character modeled after Peter Mayhew (“Chewbacca” from Star Wars.) Moore has written seven books and works with several talented artists to provide excellent graphics. All fantasy readers will want to meet Moore and hear about his writing journey.

Author Mike Lunsford of rural Parke County will make a return appearance at the library at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12 to talk about his second book, “Sidelines: The Best of Basketball Stories,” released last fall. The final author in the series will be JG (Jo) Edwards, of Marshall, appearing at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19. Her first novel, “The Chronicles of the Light: The Dawn.” was recently published.
