Audition for Beef & Boards’ ‘Music Man,’ Wizard of Oz’ productions

INDIANAPOLIS — Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre will host auditions for young performers in March.

The theatre is casting roles for boys and girls for the following shows: “The Music Man” and “The Wizard of Oz.”

Roles include Winthrop, Amaryllis and Gracie Shinn in “The Music Man” and munchkins and flying monkeys in “The Wizard of Oz.”

“The Music Man” is on stage at Beef & Boards April 12 through May 25. “The Wizard of Oz” is set for May 31 through July 15.

To participate in this audition, young performers must be at least 8 years old as of January 2012 and less than 60 inches in height.

All auditions are by appointment only, and will take place on March 3. Young performers auditioning should have one song prepared and bring sheet music in the correct key. They should dress comfortably to move, in sneakers or dance shoes — no fancy attire or costumes. A current picture should be provided.
