Music Collector’s Convention is next weekend in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — The 238th of a series of the Indianapolis Music Collector’s Conventions will take place Jan. 29 in La Quinta Inn at 5120 Victory Drive (Interstate 465 and Emerson Avenue) in Indianapolis.

The convention, which is a music show and sale, will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Thousands of recycled, out-of-print, and hard-to-find phonograph records, CDs, DVDs, tapes and other music related items will be displayed and offered for sale by dealers from Indiana and other Midwestern states.

The materials will represent a wide variety of tastes in music.

The public is encouraged to bring records, CD’s or other related items they wish to sell to dealers.

A door prize drawing will take place at noon. Admission is only $3 or $2 with a coupon available at participating record/CD stores. Children under age 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Free parking will be provided.

Persons interested in obtaining display space should contact Gerald Ruark, Alpha Records and Music, at (317) 882-3378.

The next Music Collector’s Convention will be Feb. 26 in Dayton, Ohio. The next Indianapolis Music Collectors’ Convention will be March 18 in the same La Quinta Inn.
