9th Annual Bridgeton Quilt & Woodworking Show this weekend

BRIDGETON — Bridgeton will host its 9th annual Quilt and Woodworking Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Visit the 1878 Barn to see the beautiful quilts; purchase a family heirloom while there. Quilts are hand-stitched and machine-stitched, some new and some antiques. See live quilting demonstrations, and vote for your favorite quilt.

In Collom’s General Store, see members of the International Woodworkers Association at work. See chainsaw artist Dan Collom, along with bowl carvers, pin turners and woodlathes in operation. Visit with the woodworkers and shop for a unique handmade wood gift or item.

The Community Yard Sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Bridgeton Country Barn. There will be several yard sales going on around town.

Shops will be open with plenty of food choices. Admission and parking are free.

Take a scenic drive through hills and valleys in the beautiful Southern Parke County countryside. Bridgeton is located 10 miles south of Rockville, or take Indiana 59 North from Brazil to the Bridgeton sign and turn left, or travel east of Rosedale six miles and follow the signs. For more information call (765) 548-2136.
