ISU School of Music scholarship concert Sunday

Tickets are available for the Indiana State University School of Music’s 21st annual Wind/Percussion Scholarship Concert, scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday in Tilson Auditorium in Tirey Hall.

The concert will feature the ISU Symphonic Band, conducted by Doug Keiser, and the Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Roby George.

Works on the program include the classic “George Washington Bridge” by William Schuman, Aaron Copland’s “Variations on a Shaker Melody,” J. S. Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” Brant Karrick’s “See Rock City,” “Kaddish” by Francis McBeth and “Short Essay” by Travis Cross.

The concert is sponsored by the ISU School of Music, Conservatory of Music, the Tribune-Star and the Indiana State University Friends of Music.

Admission is $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the ISU band and music offices.
