Job fair for Hoosier veterans set

U.S. Sen. Coats to host seventh annual event at state fairgrounds

TERRE HAUTE — U.S. Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.) has announced his partnership with a number of organizations to host the seventh annual “Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran” job fair that is scheduled to be held April 10 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The job fair provides employers the opportunity to discover the talents and skills of Indiana veterans.

“Our brave veterans answered the call of duty and now it is our duty to do everything we can to help those who served in uniform re-enter the workforce,” said Coats. “Hoosier veterans bring a unique set of skills, leadership capabilities and experience that can translate into valuable, hardworking employees.”

The job fair is sponsored by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, among other organizations.

More than 100 employers will be in attendance and looking to hire qualified applicants.

All service members and veterans are welcome to attend this free event. Attendees are asked to pre-register at www.inesgr.org and bring picture identification to the job fair.

All employers wishing to take part in this event must register.

The job fair is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 10, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, Agriculture/Horticulture Building, 1202 E. 38th St., Indianapolis.

 Admission is free.
