Library hosts book sale this weekend

It’s time for the 2009 annual book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Vigo County Public Library. This popular event is scheduled for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Main Library at Seventh and Poplar streets.

Featured at the sale will be hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction books, magazines of all kinds, audio and visual materials and other great bargains. There will also be a special area of rare, old and unusual books including classics, first editions and out-of-date selections.

Friends of the Vigo County Public Library members are invited to a Members Only Preview Sale today at 6:30 p.m. For those interested, memberships will be available at the door.

The annual book sale is the main fundraiser for the Friends of the Vigo County Public Library, which is devoted to promoting the Library as a cultural, educational and recreational asset to the community.

For more information, call Linda Hardin at the Vigo County Public Library at (812) 232-1113.
