My real good friend, Cathy Well, made this recipe when the kids were going to be together. (She had three and I had three). We all enjoy these. Sometimes we fixed hot dogs on the stove or maybe we had a wiener roast, then she made the sauce and kept it warm in a crockpot. Anyone remember the old Dog ’n’ Suds we used to go to? We pulled the car up to a speaker and told what we wanted to eat. The menu was on a board with a speaker. Then someone would bring your food out on a tray and fasten it to the side of the car with the window up a little. The root beer was out of this world. So good. Only one left that I know of is in Robinson, Ill. I still go once in a while.
