Random Acts of Christmas program offers help and hope this Christmas

WBGL once again invites individuals around Illinois and Indiana to participate in the Random Acts of Christmas program. This is the 7th consecutive year WBGL is facilitating the program, which kicked off on Nov. 23.

Random Acts of Christmas is a program designed to connect people in need with people who can help.

Nominations are currently being accepted and will be open through 5 p.m. Friday.

Nominating someone in need involves sharing some of their story along with that individual’s greatest needs — ranging from baby items, clothing and food to repairs and toys for children.

Once a nomination is received and approved, it is posted to the WBGL website. WBGL also encourages individuals to get involved and to give back, as they step forward to help meet the needs of others and offer hope this Christmas season. Each need can be adopted by up to three people who are willing to help fulfill the needs listed. Once a need has received three offers of help, it is moved to the “Met Needs” page.

The posted needs will remain on the WBGL website through Jan. 4 with the hope every need will be fulfilled.

For more information about the program, to nominate someone in need, or to help fulfill a need, visit www.wbgl.org.

WBGL is a nonprofit, non-commercial, listener supported radio station and can be heard at 88.5 FM in Terre Haute.
