A whodunit opens at Community Theatre

Special to the Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — “Night Watch,” a tale of possible betrayal and deceit among inhabitants of a New York City neighborhood, opens tonight at the Community Theatre of Terre Haute.

Directed by veteran Sandra Groves, the story centers around the seemingly neurotic Elaine, her husband John, and Elaine’s friend, Blanche. Elaine claims to have seen two murders taking place in apartments across the way, but the police can find nothing amiss. Elaine also believes her husband is having an affair with Blanche. Into the mix is a scary neighbor and a German-speaking maid, Helga. This play will have you on the edge of your seat and you won’t know who done what to whom until the last scene.

The cast includes Denise Keegan, Bill Carper, Jude Ciancone, Tammy Lundborg, Linda Green, Andrew Forbes, Zach Merritt, Stephanie Thompson and Jason Golembiecki. The play runs tonight and Sunday, and March 12-14. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m., while the two Sunday performances are at 2:30 p.m.

Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $6 for children and students. Tickets may be reserved or purchased at the CT Ticket Office at the following times from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, March 10, 11 and 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday and March 13, and one hour prior to performances.
