True ‘country-fried’ band to play Opry

TERRE HAUTE — T.J. Thomas & Kentucky Strait are a true “country-fried” band. The band was formed more than 20 years ago by Thomas and has played on stages across the United States.

This Saturday they will grace the stage of the Boot City Opry, south of Terre Haute on U.S. 41.

The band has opened for such country greats as Steve Wariner, the Oakridge Boys, Tom T. Hall and the late Conway Twitty.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12.50.
