Arts Illiana hosts Bowling for the Arts

TERRE HAUTE — It will be all about bowling frames rather than picture frames when Arts Illiana hosts “Bowling for the Arts” on Tuesday. The arts council for the Wabash Valley invites the public to dust off their bowling shoes and hit the alleys at the Terre Haute Bowling Center.

All funds raised will benefit the programs and services Arts Illiana provides to artists, arts organizations and arts education in the region. Terre Haute Bowling Center is at 600 E. Springhill Drive, and bowling begins at 4 p.m.

The cost for an individual bowler is $25. Organize family, friends or colleagues: A $100 registration will sponsor a team of five. Compete for the prizes, which will be awarded to top scores for men and women, as well as for high team score.

“This is the first bowling fundraiser we have done to benefit the arts, and it’s a great way to raise money for a good cause and have a little fun too,” said Neil Garrison, Arts Illiana board member and event organizer.

Late registration will be accepted, but all interested participants are encouraged to call Arts Illiana’s office soon with questions and to sign up. For more information call 812-235-5007, or visit the artsilliana.org homepage and click on the link to “Bowling for the Arts.”

Arts Illiana’s mission is to “promote, support, and enhance the arts and cultural activities of the Wabash Valley.”
