The North Vermillion Breakfast Optimist Club invites runners and walkers to its 5th Annual “Challenge the Hill” 5K Run/1.5 Mile Walk on Oct. 6 in conjunction with the Newport Antique Auto Hill Climb in Newport.
Registration is from 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. at First Financial Bank in Newport.
The race/walk will start at 7:30 a.m.
Race Day registration is $18. Participants will receive a T-shirt depending on availability.
Trophies will be awarded for best times for male and female overall winners.
Medals will be awarded for first, second and third place in each of six age groups.
All money raised will be used to support local scholarships and youth programs.
