TERRE HAUTE — At the Opry

Nashville, Tenn., singer Holly Lynn formerly of Linton will appear at the Boot City Opry with the Pearl Handle Band at 7 p.m. Saturday. Lynn has performed throughout Indiana and was selected to sing the National Anthem at a recent Indianapolis Motor Speedway Pole Day.

A 1999 Linton-Stockton graduate, Lynn works in the commercial music business. She has performed various venues including the Nashville Palace and the Nashville Cowboy Church. Lynn also has released a self-titled CD. For mor information visit www.hollylynnmusic.com.

Museum sale

The Terre Haute Fire-Police Museum will stage a sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday to raise money for the museum’s building fund. The museum has received Americas Steam trains, fully illustrated in hardback books. All are in excellent condition. The collection also contains 80 videos of steam trains of America.

A new toy train set will be given away at the end of the sale to those who buy a book or tape.
