Spooky stories
• The Native American Museum presents “Native American Spooky Stories 10 a.m. Oct. 24, at 5170 E. Poplar St. Ages 4 and up get in free. Native Americans have their own stories of ghosts, goblins, and things that go bump in the night. Make a dancing skeleton to take home. Call (812) 877-6007.
Fundraiser
• The Vigo County Historical Society has been using the 1930s as the theme for this year’s events. The final event of the year will be a party celebrating the end of prohibition which occurred in December of 1933. Activities are planned from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Ohio Building. Called “Happy Days Are Here Again,” the party has something for every taste.
Pumpkin fun
• Art Totality presents The Creation of Jack-O-Lantern featuring local artist Kenny Vermillion from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at The Apple House, 2711 S. Third St.
• There are plenty of activities to keep all hands busy. For the younger group, pumpkin sticker faces can be added to a pie pumpkin. For the 12 and older group, learn how to paint an acrylic pumpkin face. All hands can fold or assist in creating origami Jack and clean pumpkin seeds.
