Terre Haute Humane Society to stage telethon
The Terre Haute Humane Society will be having a telethon from 3 to 7 p.m. on March 31 at Honey Creek Mall. Listen at WTWO.

The Humane Society relies on public support to continue to help and save animals of the Wabash Valley. Its budget only allows for the basics and additional monies are needed to provide medical care to those with health issues. These abused, abandoned and neglected animals need help.

Planetarium Seasonal Star Program set
The Allen Memorial Planetarium will be presenting a Seasonal Star Program at 6:30 p.m. on March 26 and at 2 and 4 p.m. March 27.
This 30-minute educational program will introduce the constellations and other astronomical wonders of the sky for the spring season. There is no charge for the program, but donations will be accepted.
The planetarium, located on the property of South Vigo High School, provides educational programs for students in the Vigo County School Corp. and students in the surrounding counties. In addition, it provides programs for a variety of other community groups.

Ladies Mystery Tea coming up April 17
Ladies, are you looking for something delightful and delicious to do for a spring activity? Look no further. The Marshall Main Street program will be having a Ladies Mystery Tea at 2 p.m April 17 at Marshall Baptist Church. The mystery to this tea is the theme. This will be a fun-filled afternoon with dessert, tea and lots and lots of door prizes.
Bring your favorite tea cup to enjoy your tea in.

Christian band Chasen to perform
Christian rock band Chasen will perform at 6 p.m. March 28 in Calvary Temple Church at 2100 N. 61⁄2 St.
The Greenville, S.C., band tours nationwide and can be heard on Christian contemporary radio stations across the country, including Family Friendly Radio WBGL, 91.7 FM, in Champaign, Ill.
Lead vocalist Chasen Callahan, guitarist Evan Silver, drummer Aaron Lord and bassist Jared Barber will perform their new single, “On & On,” and other songs from their album released in February.

Audition for musical ‘Hello, Dolly!’
There will be two sessions of auditions for the musical “Hello, Dolly!” The production will open the season at Putnam County Playhouse. It will be produced June 3-5 and June 9-12.
Director is Vickie Parker. The first session will be at 3 p.m. March 28. The second session will be at 7 p.m. March 29. Both will be at the Rehearsal Center at the Hazel Day Longden Theatre in Greencastle.

Fort LaMotte Rangers chili, soup lunch set
Palestine’s Fort LaMotte Rangers invite you to enjoy a free-will donation chili and soup lunch on March 28. The Fort LaMotte Rangers will serve a delicious homemade meal starting at 11 a.m. inside the Fife Opera House in historic downtown Palestine.
All proceeds will go toward the second annual Fort LaMotte Days the last weekend in April at the reconstructed Fort LaMotte in Palestine.
