Rockville Cruise-In Street Dance set is June 2

Rockville — Main Street Rockville will offer its Cruise-In Street Dance, combined once again this year with a motorcycle, scooter and bike show, from 4 to 8:30 p.m. June 2 on the courthouse square in Rockville.

Dancing to Chameleon Entertainment will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a People’s Choice Awards and a 50/50 drawing at 8 p.m.

This marks the 21st year of the Cruise-In and Street Dance. Cars will enter from the southeast side of the square at the corner of High and Jefferson streets.

Motorcycles, scooters and bikes will enter at the same spot and will be staged this year on the middle of High Street adjacent to the courthouse.

Dash plaques will again be provided to the first 125 cars to enter the Cruise-In. People’s Choice Awards will be given to the vehicle, and motorcycle, scooter or bike garnering the most votes from participants.

Food vendors will be on hand, and restaurants on the square will be open. This marks the 15th year for the motorcycle, scooter and bike show.

Main Street Rockville’s mission is “the preservation and revitalization of downtown Rockville through the identification and development of resources and alliances with community leaders, government officials and activist citizens.”
