Hopkins to sign books at Java Haute on Saturday

TERRE HAUTE — As the wife of a funeral director, Wabash Valley author Marjorie Hopkins got a much closer glimpse at death and, in consequence, life. Through this time, and while praying for years about her own fear of death, Hopkins overcame and was drawn to the conclusion that humans avoid thinking and planning for this one unavoidable event in life.

Scripture warns us to think about death: The Bible says “[D]eath is the destiny of every man; the living should take this to heart” (Ecclesiastes 7:3, NIV). Dying to Meet Him can help readers have a more eternal and spiritual perspective on everyday life and help them be prepared for the inescapable, the certain, the inevitable by encouraging them to be dying to meet Him.

Hopkins will be signing copies of her book, “Dying to Meet Him” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Java Haute, 3805 Wabash Ave.
