Final Art Chatter Sept. 12 at Mogger’s

TERRE HAUTE — Art Spaces, Inc. - Wabash Valley Outdoor Sculpture Collection will conclude the 2012 Art Chatter Series with a discussion on the ways in which art defines and enlivens a community. In “Which Comes First, the Community Identity or the Art?,” Lloyd Benjamin III, president emeritus of Indiana State University Department of Art, and Jason Saavedra, partner and principal with J3 Concepts, a planning and development consulting firm based in Terre Haute, will present viewpoints and lead a discussion on this topic.

People of all ages are invited to M. Mogger’s Restaurant & Pub at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, to participate in this informal conversation about art and to meet other people through lively discussion. Beverages and food will be available for purchase from the Mogger’s menu, featuring Wednesday’s half-priced appetizers and $3 pints.

Art Spaces, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create a collection of public outdoor sculpture in Terre Haute and the surrounding region of the Wabash Valley.
