Downtown Indy amphitheater gears up for another concert season

INDIANAPOLIS — The Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park kicked off its 2012 1-800 Quit Now Concert Series on May 4 with a great crowd for the Rise Against concert. The 2012 season includes another stellar concert line-up, and some great improvements to enhance the concert experience for fans this summer including $4 beers, local food trucks at select shows, restaurant quality concession upgrades and more.

This summer’s concert line-up includes:

• Saturday at 7 p.m. — Umphrey’s McGee with special guests G. Love and Special Sauce

• July 12 at 6:30 p.m. — O.A.R. with special guests Rebelution

• July 29 — Florence + The Machine with special guests The Walkmen

• Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m. — 92.3 WTTS 20th Anniversary Show — The Last Summer on Earth Tour featuring Bare Naked Ladies, Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, and Cracker

• Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. — Unity Tour 2012 featuring 311, Slightly Stoopid, and The Aggrolites

• Aug. 24 at 8 p.m. — Rhythm Revue Tour 2012 featuring The Dukes of September (Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald, and Boz Scaggs)

• Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. — An Evening with Bob Dylan and His Band

• Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. — Cake with special guest Metric

• Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. — The Avett Brothers
