Covered Bridge Art Gallery to offer Art Camps for Kids

Rockville — The Covered Bridge Art Gallery in Rockville will offer Art Camps for Kids this summer. All classes will be conducted at the Gallery except for a pottery class, which will be taught at Judy Ohmit’s studio, just south of Rockville.

Classes offered include:

•June 12-15, 1:00-3:30: Mosaic Tile Boxes for Grades 5-8. Cost: $60 (Includes materials) Instructor: Angel Spangler.

• June 18-22, 1:00-3:30: Beginning Photography for ages 9-12. Cost: $60. Students need a digital or throw-away camera and will need to print out pictures. Instructor: Angel Spangler.

• June 25-28, 1 to 3:30 p.m.: H2O & Tissue Paper Seascape for ages 7-12. Cost: $60 (Includes materials) Instructor: Angel Spangler.

• July 9- 13, 9 a.m. to noon. Fun with Pottery for ages 8-12. Cost: $60 (Includes materials) Must wear old clothes and bring an apron. Instructor: Judy Ohmit. Held at Sassafras Ridge, 2302 S. Bridgeton Rd., Rockville. Call (765) 569-791

• July 16-17, 9 a.m. to noon: Line Art for grades five through eight. Cost: $50 (Includes materials) Instructor: Elaine Waltz.

There must be nine students for each class, or the class will be canceled and money refunded. A parent must sign a waiver the first day of class. no refunds the week of the class. Cancellations one week before will receive a 50-percent refund.

 Mail the student’s name, age, address, phone number, name of class, parent’s name and a check payable to the Covered Bridge Art Gallery to Linda Stalker; 1104 northwood Dr.; Rockville, In 47872 at least two weeks before the class.
