Good Feelings Band to perform under new name on New Year’s Eve

TERRE HAUTE — This New Year’s Eve at Ambrosini’s Pizzeria, a well-known local band is taking on a new name.

For many years, The Good Feelings Band performed around the Wabash Valley at favorite night spots such as The Apple Club, as well as entertaining at many weddings across the area.

Linda Tichenor and Ric Jeffries are proud to be two of the Wabash Valley’s most enduring musicians, having entertained in a variety of venues.

Tichenor (vocal/keyboards) is one of the Valley’s premier female vocalists. She spent many years working with the travel band Lady Luck before returning to the Wabash Valley to work with Good Feelings.

A Wabash Valley Hall of Fame musician, Jeffries (vocal/keyboards) worked in the early days with local rock legend Henry Lee Summer before joining Good Feelings as a founding member, continuing the band’s success to date.

Each brings combined talents to the stage to provide an eclectic mix of cover music in the pop, rock and country genres, as well as original songs written by Jeffries.

After a couple of decades or more of performing, Good Feelings has decided to change its name to reflect a more modern sound. The result is The Band Tichenor-Jeffries.

The Band Tichenor-Jeffries will be joined on stage by Hall of Fame guitarist Larry Velez, as the group continues to respect the Hall of Fame mission statement by “fostering and maintaining a meaningful relationship with the community.”

The Band Tichenor-Jeffries is excited to be performing Dec. 31, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., on New Year’s Eve at Ambrosini’s, 1367 Wabash Ave. There will be food specials, party favors, drinks, plus of course, music.

Tables can be reserved by calling 812-235-1445. There will be no cover charge, but people must be 21 or older to attend.
