ROCKVILLE —
Parke Players’ annual Winter Follies show will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday at the historic Ritz Theater, a half block west of the square on U.S. 36 (Ohio Street) in Rockville.
The first Ritz Follies event was presented on July 30, 2005, to an enthusiastic audience by a lineup of more than a dozen of the Wabash Valley’s budding entertainers. Singers, dancers, musicians, actors and puppeteers all provided an evening of entertainment to help raise funds for the ongoing operation of the historic Ritz Theater. The nine subsequent follies events have drawn even larger crowds as the annual event grows in popularity. In February of 2009, Parke Players presented the first Winter Follies show to an appreciative audience. The winter show also continues to grow in popularity as new talent emerges each year. This year’s proceeds will continue to go toward the further improvement and operation of the Ritz Theater cinema and production facility.

Kick off summer with Banks of Wabash Festival tonight
The 29th Annual Banks of the Wabash Festival will run from tonight through June 2 at Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute. The festival offers bingo, crafters, food, nightly music, a merchandise mart and will feature Luehrs’ Rides and Midway Games.
