TH Symphony presents ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ April 21

TERRE HAUTE — The Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra will perform music of Sinatra and his “Rat Pack” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Indiana State University’s Tilson Auditorium.

The orchestra will feature Frank Sinatra-specialist Rick Vale, singing “In the Mood,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “New York, New York,” and many more. The THSO will also present two alto sax solos on “St. Louis Blues” and “Sweet Georgia Brown” with full big band and full orchestra.

Vale, award-winning composer and performer, began his music career in the Pacific Northwest where he performed as principal actor with several local companies, including The Seattle Opera Company. As a principal stage performer, he has appeared throughout the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest and off-Broadway in New York. He also has performed vocal solos with symphony orchestras around the country.

As a composer, his works have been performed and recorded by such artists as Sandi Patty, and have been widely performed by symphonic orchestras, choirs and opera and ballet companies throughout the United States and the world, from Carnegie Hall to Siberia.

Single tickets for this Terre Haute Symphony concert are $18 for adults and begin at $4 for youth/students. All tickets are available at the Hulman Center ticket office or at 1-800-745-3000.

The Tilson Auditorium accessible drop-off location is at the intersection of Seventh Street and Larry Bird Avenue. Accessible seats are sold with one free companion seat and are available through Ticketmaster outlets at (812) 234-2424 or online at www.TicketMaster.com.

Discounted group rates are available for groups of 10 or more by calling the THSO office at (812) 242-8476.
