View Sister’s art at Coffee Grounds
Artwork by Sister of Providence Jody O’Neil will be on display at Coffee Grounds, 423 Wabash Ave., through May 31.
O’Neil, artist in residence at St. Mary-of-the-Woods, has eight renderings on display, all of which are available for purchase. Her work in this exhibit focuses on nature themes.
“Nature inspires me. I’ve always enjoyed working with texture within acrylic paintings,” O’Neil said.
The exhibit includes eight white-on-white textured canvases. The application method is the use of old credit cards applied to self-made or found-object stencils. She refers to the artwork as sculptural paintings on canvas.

Motorcycle Club plans spring ride
The Wabash Valley Motorcycle Club annual spring-out ride will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 19 with sign-in at Show Me’s and a final destination of Midway Bar & Grill in Shirkieville.
Cost is $10 per person and the last bike in will be at 5 p.m. Directions for the ride will be given at sign-ins. All riders all welcome to join for the ride, live music, food and fun.

BOW Chorus and Quartets to perform May 12
Terre Haute’s Banks of the Wabash Chorus and Quartets members of the Barbershop Harmony Society will be performing their annual spring show, titled “Why do Fools Fall in Love” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Hall in 12 Points at 1257 Lafayette Ave.
All music will be performed in the typical “barbershop” style of accapella, live on stage and in close harmony. The music will remember love songs of younger days, loved ones and special moments.
Tickets are available at the door at $10 each. Children under 5 are free. The Banks of the Wabash Chorus and Quartets are a nonprofit, charitable, community service organization. Guests are welcome to attend all rehearsals, which take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Harmony Hall. For more information call (812) 232-4926.
Clay Relay for Life plans fish fry May 12
Relay for Life of Clay County celebrates 16 years Saturday with a fish fry and live entertainment. Celebrations and memorials, a silent auction and games also are planned.
The relay starts at noon and runs until 6 a.m. Sunday morning. It will take place at the walking track at Forest Park in Brazil, the site of the inaugural relay event.
A Country Rhodes Fish Fry will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Brazil National Guard Armory, just next door to the track. Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $5.50 for ages 12 and under, and $8.50 for carry-out orders.
The band 15th & Hulman, The Ken Tucker Band, BDDFC, Lowe Tide, BG McPike & Solly Burton, and The Abyss will perform throughout the event.
