Valley blues artist signs endorsement deal with Tradition Guitars

Wabash Valley — Wabash Valley blues artist Ken Tucker has recently signed an endorsement deal with Tradition Guitars.

“Tradition Guitars are some of the finest guitars I have ever played,” Tucker said. “Tradition is one of those rare companies that mix quality and personable, friendly, and quick service to perfection.”

The Sullivan native joins a long list of accomplished guitar players who have endorsed Tradition Guitars, which includes Lloyd Maines, blues and jazz great Taj Mahal, and Curtis Wright of Shenandoah and Pure Prairie League.

Tucker now lives in Terre Haute.

Founded in 1998 in a horse barn in Indiana, Tradition Guitars is now based in Fort Worth, Texas.

“Being a Tradition Guitars artist means that I am standing along side of some of the finest players in the music industry with one of the finest guitar makers behind me,” Tucker said. “It is an honor to represent Tradition Guitars.”

A guitar slinger and gravelly singer, Tucker is the former guitarist for Larry Norman. He has shared the stage with many well-known musicians, including (along with Norman), Shawn Mullins, Lindsay Ell and Darrell Mansfield.

Tucker has been featured on House of Blues Radio Hour with Dan Akroyd and won the Emerging Artist Award at Arkansas Blues and Heritage Fest in 2007.

Tucker’s playing has been compared to everyone from Eric Clapton to Joe Walsh.

Locally, the Ken Tucker Band is represented by B3 Entertainment.

His latest album, “Juke Joint Serenade” on the Benevolent Blues label, is available at Java Haute, or at www.reverbnation.com/kentuckerblues. The album was reviewed in the November/December issue of Terre Haute Living.
