CLAY COUNTY, Ind. —
Bowling Green Old Settlers will celebrate its 144th Annual Picnic Aug. 23-25. Each day will offer arts and crafts booths, flea markets, and bounce houses and inflatables along with dinner each evening and free entertainment on the square.
Nightly events include:
Aug. 23 — Ribeye dinner under the awning at 5 p.m.; bingo for Longaberger, Pampered Chef, and other assorted prizes in the community building — speedball games beginning at 6:30 p.m., regular bingo at 7 p.m.; and a DJ on stage from 6 to 8 p.m.
Aug. 24 — Jonah Fish Fry in the community building 4 p.m., heavyweight horse pull at 7:30 p.m., and on stage — Nightingales Quartet at 6 p.m., country singer, Chris Anderson at 7:15 p.m., and Clay City High School Band at 8:15 p.m.
Aug. 25 — Masonic Lodge breakfast in the community building from 7 to 11a.m.; baby, toddler, and little miss contests at 9:30 a.m.; chicken noodle dinner in the community building at 4 p.m.; cornhole tournament at 4:30 p.m.; antique tractor pull at 7:30 p.m.; and on stage — Center Point Praise Band and James Family Singers at 6 p.m. and Six Mile Bluegrass band at 7:30 p.m.
