The Clark County Park District Trails Coalition invites the public to Howl at the Moon, an extreme 10K night trail run on Oct. 27 at Mill Creek Park.
A one-mile spook walk is planned for the timid.
The trail race will be on muddy, root-bound and hilly ATV trails. Flashlight or headlamp use is required; there will be no exceptions. Protective eyewear is strongly encouraged.
For those who choose to run in Halloween costumes, there will be awards for the best male and female costume.
Packet pick-up will be from 6:30 to 7:30 pm CDT at the ATV trailhead. There will be a pre-race briefing just prior to the start.
The one-mile spook walk begins at 7:30 p.m., the 10K run at 8 p.m.
An awards ceremony, refreshments and entertainment will be at the finish line.
Early bird/T-shirt guarantee deadline is Sept. 28.
