Concert Pre-Party at Bally features Nashville artists

TERRE HAUTE — Looking for something to do before the Eric Church concert Saturday night? Go Big Productions has the answer with its Concert Pre-Party featuring Lewis Brice and friends at the Ballyhoo Tavern. The pre-party will get fans ready for the big show; performances start at 2:30 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. with a Post-Concert Party to follow.

Admission to the bar is $10, and wristbands will be given for immediate re-entry for the post-party. Guests must be 21 or older to attend with valid photo ID. Drink specials and food will be served the whole night. Win two pit tickets to the show or just come listen to some live music for a great price.

Brice will headline the show. He is a singer/songwriter from Sumter S.C.,  and has been living in Nashville, Tenn., for five years. This past year Brice has been playing acoustic shows all over the country. People might recognize his name because of his brother, Lee Brice. Although different, the two have the same dominant sound. Lewis just released his first professional EP in 2011.

Also performing will be Haden Carpenter. Carpenter was born and raised singing a capella in a little church in Fort Smith, Ark.; Carpenter later gathered influences at the crossroads of blues and rock ’n’ roll in Memphis, Tenn. He attended the University of Memphis, winning numerous accolades, including Outstanding Vocalist awards, studied under Memphis’ Queen of jazz and classic pop, Joyce Cobb, and played regularly on world-famous Beale Street. His successes followed him east to Nashville where Carpenter has been writing with hit songwriters and pursuing his career.

Also at the Bally will be Greylan James, a 15-year-old singer/songwriter and musician from East Tennessee. James has been performing since the age of 5. His musical influences include Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Brad Paisley and many other genres of music. He has had many local musicians and teachers that continue to help him grow musically and has played more than 500 events, benefits and festivals. He is also a member of Hillbilly Culture Publishing, Country Music Association, and Nashville Songwriters Association & BMI. James is currently back in the studio recording an acoustical EP of originals.

The final performer on the bill for the Bally party is Zach Dubois. Dubois was born and raised outside of Elkhart on a family farm. He credits his tight-knit family and the strong faith and values instilled in him as essential cornerstones to the foundation of his music and his life. A 2011 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, DuBois began making a name for himself by playing gigs around the Notre Dame campus and his hometown of Elkhart. Since then, he has played at venues in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Tennessee, and has opened for national touring artist Bucky Covington.
