Third annual Zumbathon to benefit the Terre Haute Children’s Museum

TERRE HAUTE — The Ultimate Zumba Family, which includes Zumba Fitness and the Ultimate Health and Family Physical Therapy & Pilates Studio, will present the third annual Zumbathon to benefit the Terre Haute Children’s Museum from 2 to 5:30 p.m. March 27 at Terre Haute South Vigo High School, .

The event will include 31⁄2 hours of high-energy dancing led by Zumba-certified dance instructors.

The fun and excitement will continue as local dance crews perform dances they choreographed especially for this event.

Sponsors of Zumbathon include Dr. Krishna M. Namburi, cardiology, with UAP Clinic; Dr. Ruben B. Gonzales, with The Bariatric Center of Terre Haute; Dr. Primo Andres, cardiology, with Terre Haute Heart Center; and Dr. Henry Davis, rheumatology, with Providence Medical Group.

Tickets are $20 per person in advance and $25 per person at the door.

The Terre Haute Children’s Museum is in a capital campaign for a new 26,000-square-foot facility, which will include a wide range of hands-on science and technology exhibits. To date, the Museum has received donations of $4.9 million toward a goal of $5.5 million. Sponsorship opportunities are still available, including naming area rights and exhibit sponsorships. Individuals, families, groups, organizations and businesses can also put their names on the Children’s Museum by sponsoring a brick or limestone.
