Ivy Tech Community College Art Show features new use of old materials

TERRE HAUTE — Ivy Tech Community College will present its sixth annual Recycled Art Show from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 5 at an award reception in the Oakley Auditorium Art Gallery, 8000 S. Education Drive, Terre Haute.

Amateurs and professionals are invited to submit art made of recycled materials from  4 to 6 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to Karen Page in Room H130 at Ivy Tech Community College for judging in several categories.

The Recycled Art Show is being sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Fine Arts and Design at Ivy Tech. Artwork entered can be from a group or an individual and must be made of recycled materials and for a purpose other than its original use. Cash prizes will be given for Best of Show, Best Amateur 2D and 3D for individual and group and Best Professional 2D and 3D for individual and group.
