TERRE HAUTE — • Majors-Seneviratne

Heather Michelle Majors and Nilanka Devindra Seneviratne of Washington, D.C., will be united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Saint Francis Hall at Washington, D.C.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Gary and Terri Majors of Terre Haute. She is a 2001 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a 2005 graduate of Indiana University and a 2007 graduate of George Washington University with a master’s in public administration. She is employed by Welford Energy.

Seneviratne is the son of Loke and Mani Seneviratne of South Carolina. He is a 1998 graduate of Dreher High School, a 2002 graduate of Clemson University and a 2007 graduate of George Washington University with a master’s in public administration. He is employed by Partners for Democratic Change.



• Sheppard-York

Bill and Ellen Goddard of Aurora, Ohio, announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Jamie Ellen Sheppard, to Troy Wayne York, son of Vickie York of Cayuga and Leland York of Danville, Ill.

The couple will be united in marriage on June 29, 2012, in Terre Haute by Richard J. Hardcastle.

Friends and relatives are invited.

The bride-elect is employed by the Kroger Corp.

York is a graduate of Indiana State University and is employed by Southwest Parke School Corp. and ResCare. He works in special education.



• Cawley-Archer

Alison Riordan Cawley and Matthew David Archer will be united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish at Dayton, Ohio.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Fern (Cawley) Edwards of Terre Haute. She is a 2003 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School, a 2007 graduate of the University of Dayton, and is working toward a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Dayton.

Archer is the son of David and Jane Archer of Angier, N.C. He is a 2002 graduate of West Carteret High School in Morehead City, N.C., a 2006 graduate from Campbell University, a 2009 graduate from Duke University Divinity School, and is working on his doctoral degree in theology at the University of Dayton.

The couple plan an August celebration with family and friends.
