TERRE HAUTE —
• A semi driver involved in the June 13 multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 states that his vehicle did not rear-end the truck in front of him until after his truck was rear-ended and pushed forward during the chain-reaction collision.
David Eckstrom, 45, of Tekamah, Neb., said the truck he was driving was almost safely stopped when it was struck from behind and shoved into the truck in front of it.
The eight-vehicle accident occurred in a construction zone.
