Marshall Municipal Band performs tonight on Clark County Courthouse lawn

MARSHALL, ILL. — The Marshall Municipal Band will perform a concert this evening on the Clark County Courthouse lawn at 8, under the direction of Ralph Stewart.  

The concert will include “Bombasto,” “Up, Up and Away,” “Caprice for Band,” “Tenderly,” “Arioso” and “Spiritual Contrasts” including “Just A closer Walk With Thee” and “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands.”  Other turns include the themes from “Superman,” “Show Boat,” “Burst Of Flame,” “Kid Stuff,” “El Chaco,’” “Polovetsian Dances,” “Trombonanza,” “Marcho Scherzo” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.” 

An ice cream social and refreshments will be sponsored by the First United Methodist Church and the Clark County Historical Society.

Band concerts are free and each Friday evening through Aug. 13. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
