The Lawn to carry Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance name

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance is the new name-in-title holder of The Lawn at White River State Park. Live Nation, a leading live entertainment and ecommerce company, has now announced an initial list of artists slated to perform at the venue in 2012.

The lineup includes: Rise Against (May 4), WZPL Uncle Sam Jam featuring Demi Lovato and Hot Chelle Rae (July 3), Umphrey’s McGee (July 7), OAR (July 12), Florence + The Machine (July 29), WTTS 20th Anniversary show featuring Barenaked Ladies, Blues Traveler & more (August 12), 311 (Aug. 14), The Dukes of September featuring Boz Scaggs, Donald Fagen and Michael McDonald (Aug. 24) and the Avett Brothers (Sept. 30).

The Lawn is in the heart of downtown Indianapolis in one of the city”s most popular destination areas.

Since its opening in 2004 the venue has grown into one of Indianapolis’ premiere entertainment venues with its picturesque outdoor setting located on the White River and close proximity to downtown.

The venue has consistently provided artists such as the Black Keys; Earth Wind and Fire; Crosby Stills and Nash; Bob Dylan; Indigo Girls; and Ben Harper.

Additional 2012 show details will be announced in the coming weeks.
