TERRE HAUTE — The newest country supergroup is headed to the Wabash Valley. TelluRide is making a unique stop in Terre Haute at 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Mulligans Sports Bar behind Honey Creek Mall.
The band originated in Washington State, but has ties across the U.S. They are blazing up the country airwaves right now with their debut album, “Four Square Miles,” which has garnered critical acclaim from local disc jockeys and even the Country Music Academy itself. Their release, “Pencil Marks,” has helped distinguish the band as one of hottest young acts in Nashville, Tenn. Bloggers and music critics are likening them to bands like Rascal Flatts and Lonestar. “CMA Close Up Magazine” named TelluRide as “The Band to Watch” in 2009.
They have opened for famous performers such as Le An Rhimes, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lonestar and Little Big Town. They have also worked with the rock supergroups Foreigner and REO Speedwagon. Now Hi-99 WTHI, Mulligans, and the Best Western of Terre Haute are bringing them here to Terre Haute, for one night only.
Advance General Admission tickets are being sold for $6 while they last. There are a few VIP tickets still left for $25 each, which gets you a great dinner and a chance to mingle with the band before the show. The venue is for the 21 years and older crowd. Details are available by calling (812) 234-2555, or visiting www.MulligansSportsBar.net. Check out TelluRide on i-Tunes, Amazon.com, or at www.TelluRideBand.com.
