Southern Choir Tour at LTC today

ROBINSON, Ill. — The Glenbard East High School Choral Program of Lombard, Ill., will make a stop in Robinson as part of its Southern Choir Tour today.

Directed by Oblong native Brandon Catt, the ensemble of more than 100 students will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. in the Lincoln Trail College Zwermann Arts Center Theater. The performance will include music by Rachmaninoff, Palestrina, Fleming, Clausen, Snider, Ramsey, Mendelssohn, Aguiar, Dilworth and Lioncourt.

The student musicians will also perform some popular music including The Script’s “For the First Time,” Justin Timberlake’s “What Goes Around” and Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now,” as well as feature a student beat-boxer and guitarist. In addition, the performance will feature a few local guest artists including Oblong High School’s Hunter Allen.
