Air Force Band of Flight to perform at Terre Haute South

TERRE HAUTE — The United States Air Force Band of Flight will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Terre Haute South Vigo High School’s auditorium.

Only 800 tickets are available and may be picked up from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Tribune-Star.

The event is free, but requires a ticket.

The Concert Band is the largest and most versatile unit of the United States Air Force Band of Flight.

Under the baton of Major R. Michael Mench, the band entertains hundreds of thousands each year with its dynamic performances and varied repertoire ranging from classical symphonic compositions and military marches to Broadway show tunes and popular contemporary music. The Concert Band is in constant demand for community, military and educational events.

The Band of Flight is one of 12 bands in the Air Force. The band’s purpose is to support the global Air Force Mission in war and peace by fostering our national heritage and by providing professional musical products and services for official military, recruiting and community relations events.
