The Brazil Concert Band,, under the direction of Matthew S. Huber, offers “Americana” at 7 p.m. Sunday at Forest Park in Brazil.
This week’s theme features folk tunes and music with a down-home flair.
Even the marches will reflect such vibes with “The Walking Frog,” “An Arkansas Huskin’ Bee,” “The Pumpkin Center Cornet Band” and “Dixie.”
First trombonist Duane Caperton, a longtime BCB member, will start the show at 7 p.m. with his ensemble, “Yellow Hammer Blue Grass Gospel.”
These pickin’ musicians include Rick Duzan, mandolin; Dick Harrington, guitar; Bob Bennett, bass; and Doug Duzan and Caperton, banjos.
The entire band will present “Way Down Yonder In New Orleans,” “American Folk Rhapsody #3,” “Kentucky 1800,” “Amazing Grace,” “Shenandoah,” “All Shook Up” and “Songs of Old Kentucky.”
