Robinson, Ill. — The Lincoln Trail College Concert Choir will present “Praise through the Ages” at 3 p.m. Jan. 31 in the Zwermann Arts Center Theater.
The 45-member choir will present a concert of praise music ranging from Palestrina, Bach and Mozart to spirituals and contemporary Gospel music.
“This music has something for everyone: soulful, beautiful harmonies and melodies that you will go home singing,” Director Barbara Shimer said. “The choir contains students, area music educators, lifelong singers and people from all walks of life” she said.
Featured soloists include Susan Polgar, Becky Miller, Doug Finkbiner, Donald Runyan, Sandy Ellis, Kathleen Moore, Lane Morecraft, Ben Rardin, Chris Jansen, Elizabeth Johnson and Tara Miller. Becky Miller and Tara Miller serve as guest directors, and the program is accompanied by Gail Bailey.
General admission tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students and are available by calling the Performing Arts Office at (618) 544-8657, ext. 1433. Tickets are also available at the door the afternoon of the concert.
