Join in the fun with the Terre Haute Symphony Association fundraiser, The Symphony Revel, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College’s Le Fer Ballroom.
A Revel is an occasion of merrymaking with music, masking and dancing.
The event celebrates Terre Haute Symphony’s 84th season. Music will be provided by a Terre Haute favorite, the Pilgrim Band with Bill Foraker.
Arrive in a glamorous mask, or choose one at the party (or none at all). Prizes will be awarded for the most outstanding. Paparazzi photos of those in attendance will be taken by Samantha McGranahan of the Roxy Studio. Copies of photos will be made available online following the event.
The ISU Department of Theater will present “Delectable Poison” by Arthur Feinsod. Actors, en masque, will perform the commedia dell ‘arte vignettes at various times during the evening.
A lively auction of unique items will be provided by local auctioneer David Hayes.
The items include a personalized airplane ride with Bill Foraker, a $450 wine basket from Baesler’s, a portable DVD player from Sony and a Life Style photo session by the Roxy Studio.
Black tie is optional.
Tickets are available from Terre Haute Symphony board members or by calling the THSO office at (812) 242-8476.
